Volunteer Opportunities 

Palm Healthcare Foundation, Inc. has many EXCITING and FUN volunteer opportunities for nurses, retired nurses, student nurses and all interested community volunteers.

Palm Healthcare Foundation is looking for individuals to:   

• Assist  with special events, e.g., Annual Nursing Celebration Dinner Dance and judging for the Nurse Distinction Awards;
• Participate in Advisory Committees related to education and healthcare issues;
• Speakers/Mentors for Novice Nurse Leadership Institute and Scholarship recipients;
• Assist with receptionist/secretarial activities
• Participate in Healthcare Workforce Partnership committee meetings:
  • Education Practice Gap committees
  • Retention Work Environment committees

Palm Healthcare Foundation at the Pavilion is looking for individuals to:

• Educate Children’s Medical Services’ parents
• Teach classes to family caregivers in the Apartment for Caregiver Education
• Teach classes in the Healthy Kitchen regarding healthy eating within a budget
• Reception/meeting set-up
• Medical Interpreters
• Work with children while waiting for their appointments by reading, puzzles, etc.
• Alternative medicine – Yoga, aromatherapy, massage
• Community  Garden
• HealthCorp – Yoga/nutrition
