Volunteer Opportunities
Palm Healthcare Foundation has many exciting and fun volunteer opportunities for individuals from a variety of professions, especially healthcare and education (nurses, teachers, etc.).
We need volunteers to:
- Teach a specially-designed nursing career/science curriculum to primary and secondary school students in Palm Beach County;
- Speak to students in Futures Nurses Club programs;
- Participate on advisory committees for high school Medical Sciences Academies to inform and advise on a variety of subjects such as nursing curriculum;
- Tutor students in Medical Sciences Academies in after-school learning labs;
- Participate in HWP programs such as scholarship and mentoring programs;
- Participate in Dr. Mehmet Oz's HealthCorps program (high school health and wellness education);
- Participate in a myriad of activities at the Palm Healthcare Pavilion (tutoring, medical interpretation, caregiver training, general administrative duties, etc.);
- Participate on committees for special events such as the annual Nursing Celebration Dinner at the Breakers and judging for the annual "Nurses of Distinction Awards".
